Where it all began...
Welcome to Origin Pointe Vocal Studios! My name is Shaylee Ray, and I have been teaching voice lessons for five plus years now and LOVE it! It is my joy and passion for teaching and sharing music that first inspired me to start my studio. I have taught ages 6-80 years old focusing on the beginning and intermediate levels of singing, performance, and music theory.
I received my bachelor’s degree in music in 2016 from Westminster College and have been involved in multiple productions in and out of school. I enjoy singing and teaching musical theater, jazz, and classical style musical genres. I have been involved in music and acting since Jr. High in my very first role as “Tomboy” in “Tom Sawyer: The Musical.” In college, I was introduced to the world of Opera and was involved in several productions including “The Light in the Piazza” and “Don Giovanni.” I have also been a soloist twice for my community choir’s performance of “The Messiah.”
I believe that everyone has their own unique voice, and I aspire to help each person find and perfect their own voice. I believe that anyone can learn to sing because singing is a skill; you don’t have to have raw talent before you begin. Come where you are and let’s grow together! The musical journey is an exciting and rewarding one.
Shaylee resides in Logan, UT with her husband, James; her son, Joshua, who is a beautiful autistic soul; their family dog, Bear; and 15 lively, chattering chickens.
Shaylee enjoys crafting, watching movies,
having picnics, and anything artistic like painting and drawing. She relishes the roller coaster ride of motherhood, which is definitely nothing less than crazy, but she wouldn’t trade it for the world.

Lessons and Classes tailored to YOU
Although voice lessons are my main focus, I also offer beginning piano lessons, music theory and composition classes, performance techniques, and coming up this summer, I am going to be offering a Disney-themed class where we will learn popular Disney songs and have a recital by the end of summer to showcase the improvement of the class and individual students.
I am excited to announce that I will be starting "Animal Adventures in Music" lessons this summer, too, which are tailored for the 2-6 year old preschoolers.
